What is Mom-to-Mom Coaching?

What it is NOT

FIXING

You are not broken. Your family is not a project. This isn’t about “repairing” you or turning you into a different person.

THERAPY

I don’t diagnose, treat, or provide mental health services. If that’s what you’re looking for, a licensed therapist is the right fit, and I fully support you in finding one.

JUDGMENT

There is no gold star for doing motherhood a certain way. You don’t have to defend yourself or impress anyone here.

ADVICE-GIVING

I won’t tell you what you “should” do, hand you a script, or give you a checklist to follow. You already make enough decisions and hear enough opinions. Of course, if you want something direct, we can certainly work through it together, with me offering the wisdom I've garnered through my training and my hands-on-parenting.

PARENTING CONTROL SCHOOL

We’re not here to figure out how to make your big kids do what you want. Your relationship with them matters more than winning power struggles.

EMERGENCY SUPPORT

If you or your child is in immediate danger or in a mental health crisis, emergency and crisis resources are the right place to turn. This space moves at a slower, steadier pace.

What it IS (or what I hope it to be)

DEEP LISTENING

The answers are often already inside you — they’re just covered by noise, expectations, fear, and a lifetime of “shoulds.” My role is to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you hear your own wisdom more clearly.

DISCOVERY OF HELPFUL PRACTICES

Together, we’ll notice what actually supports you in real life — routines, conversations, boundaries, ways of checking in with yourself — and experiment gently with what works for you (and let go of what doesn’t).

WHAT I CALL "MIDWIFERY"

This work often looks like staying with you through long, uncomfortable stretches of change. The timing cannot be rushed. I’m there to encourage, to help you breathe through the hard parts, to notice when it’s time to rest and when it’s time to push, and to create as much safety as possible while something new is taking shape.

HOLDING SPACE

This is a place where you don’t have to perform, explain, or minimize. I’m not here to manage your feelings or hurry you along. I’m here to sit with you — steady, kind, and present — while you sort through what matters.

COMPANIONING

This is not about me having answers. It’s about walking alongside you as you navigate big-kid parenting, identity shifts, and real-life transitions. We’ll make sense of things together, without judgment and without hurry.

CLARITY WITHOUT PRESSURE

Sometimes what helps most is saying things out loud and having someone reflect them back. Together we notice patterns, name what’s actually happening, and find next small steps that feel true to you.

A PLACE TO BE HONEST

This is a space where you get to say the quiet parts out loud — the grief, the relief, the anger, the pride, the confusion, the missing, the hope. Nothing has to be cleaned up before you bring it here.
